DEPOT ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT

The Depot Entertainment District offers a unique
entertainment experience complete with toe-tapping
music, fabulous food, a variety of refreshing drinks,
and miles of dance floors. Theses historical buildings
now host restaurants, unique retail shops, clubs, a
theater with stage performances, high-end car

OMNI THEATER & SCIENCE SPECTRUM MUSEUM

the Buddy Holly Center located in the historic Depot
Entertainment District. The Buddy Holly Center is a
cultural arts facility offering programs in the visual
arts, Texas music history, and features a permanent
exhibition dedicated to the life and music of Buddy
Holly. The center showcases unique memorabilia donated
by the family, friends and fans of Lubbock’s favorite
son, Buddy Holly. The Center also houses the Texas
Musician Hall of Fame and Lubbock Fine Arts Gallery.

NATIONAL RANCHING HERITAGE CENTER

Experience the real west at the National Ranching
Heritage Center, where the story of ranching in North
America is told through the preservation of 36 authentic
structures displayed on a 16-acre site. All date from
the late 1700s through the early 1900s and are
authentically restored and furnished. Cogdell’s General
Store inside the center stocks books, music and ranching
and cowboy merchandise for visitors. Free admission.
AMERICAN WIND POWER CENTER / MUSEUM OF AGRICULTURE
A collection of over 120 rare and fully restored
windmills await as you walk through this incredible

Twelve thousand years of history is what makes the
Lubbock Lake Landmark an internationally recognized
archaeological and natural history preserve. A unit of
the Museum of Texas Tech University, the Landmark is a
premier North American site that documents a continuous
human presence on the Southern High Plains since the
time of large. Extinct mammals such as the ancient
bison, giant short-faced bear and Columbian mammoth.

At 248 acres, Mackenzie Park is Lubbock’s largest
recreation area and features a wide variety of fun for
all ages. Tee off at the recently renovated Meadowbrook
Golf Course, or for a fun variation, the park offers a
world-class disc golf course and Joyland Amusement Park.
Visit Prairie Dog Town and watch these pint-sized
critters put on a show or bring your horses and ride
through incredible landscapes on the park’s equestrian
trails. A new sculpture garden, the ALON/USA Fina
“Crossroads in Time” features the larger-than life
sculptures of artist Steve Teeters and overlooks
beautiful Mackenzie Park.
